With the conclusion a new sponsorship agreement for this year, A.P. Moller-Maersk has become the top sponsor of the Baoa Asia Forum in 2006. The agreement was signed by Maersk’s Greater China CEO and Long Yongtu, secretary of the Boao Asia Forum, in Beijing on February 22, 2006.
The 2006’ Boao Asia Forum will be held in Hainan on April 21-23. It will be the fifth yearly meeting and its theme will be “Looking for Mutual Gain-Asia’s New Opportunity”. A.P. Moller’s CEO will personally participate and give a speech at the forum. The other participants include Wei Jiafu, president of COSCO, the honorary chairman of N.Y.K., the chairman of H.K. Trade Development Department, Wu Guangzhang, chairman of H.K. Jiulongcang (Group) Corporation, the chairman of H.K. Airport Administration, Feng Guojing, chairman of Lifeng (Group) Co., Ltd, and the president of UPS (Asia) and so on.
