Centrans Ocean Shipping Logistics Group was founded in 2004 which headquarter was in Tianjin. At the beginning of the foundation, Centrans Ocean Shipping Logistics Group had won the sixth place in “The top 50 of Shipping Capacity of International Forwarding Agent Association of China”, the tenth place in “The top 100 Comprehensive Strength of International Forwarding Agent Association of China” and the eleventh place in the turnover of International Forwarding Agent Corporation of China.

    The former corporation of the Group——Tianjin Centrans International Forwarding Co., Ltd. was founded on August 8, 1996. With long-time development, at the present, the Group has formed a management system characterized with intensivism, networklization and specialization, and made good use of 74 branches and offices distributing in the U.S.A., Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, the main coastal cities and capital cities in the Mainland, providing its clients with such a series of professional services as good international forwarding agent service, international shipping agent service, international shipping management service, mediacy service of signing contracts on watercraft business, the service on inspection of watercraft making, international service for consulting marine market information and international logistics service.

    Based on Tianjin, the group has 74 subsidiaries and offices both home and abroad , which are especially located in coastal cities of Japan, Korea, America, China and some inland capital cities of China, among which there are 40 international forwarding agencies, watercraft agencies, marine companies proved by Commerce Ministry and Transportation Ministry. At present, the group has formed a management system characterized with intensivism, networklization and specialization, providing its clients with such a series of professional services as good international forwarding agency service( including collecting goods, leasing ships, bespeaking cabins, storage, transferring, taking apart and putting together goods in containers, applying to customs, applying to checking, balancing and consulting etc. ), international shipping agency service, international shipping management service, mediacy service of signing contracts on watercraft business, the service on inspection of watercraft making, international service for consulting marine market information and international logistics service. Meanwhile, the group has established its own fleet including such ships as loose grocery ships, container ships, ships for chemical products only and oil tankers etc. Centrans Marine Corp., sanctified by Transportation Ministry, will provide unique, superior service internationally by setting domestic and international courses.

    The group has continually kept its portfolio at an increase of 30 per cent for years. The year 1999 witnessed its carriage capacity of 1,390,000 tons for importing and exporting general cargoes, that of importing and exporting containers 33,600 twenty foot equivalent unit ,thus volume of both freight and containers ranking sixth in the 1999 freight list of Tianjn International Forwarding Agency Enterprises. In 2000, the relevant number is 2,490,200 tons and 73,090TEU , with which we get the third and sixth places respectively ; In 2001,the relevant number is 2,682,300 tons and 81,860TEU , with which we get the third and fourth places respectively, In 2002,the relevant number is 4,814,200 tons and 116,480TEU , with which we get the first places in the volume of freight on list of Tianjn International Forwarding Agency Enterprises. In 2003, the volume of import and export freight of grocery of the company is 5,969,600 tons and the container freight volume is 145,600TEU.

    At present, electronic networklization has been achieved in the Group. As for information transmission, the company is connecting with 10M broadband by using optical fribe hooking with internet thus obtaining a mass of information in the shortest time by internet. The company also has its own email service system providing each employee a special email box so as to improve speed of transmitting information and efficiency and reduce the cost by finishing business home and abroad instantly. Besides, its financial affaires are managed through electronic long-distance measures thus operating with security, high efficiency and low cost. Now the group is engaging in OA construction.
